The Premium Pro Series Dual Gauge Co2 Draft Beer Regulator is a midrange beer regulator with an attractive price-tag. “Dual gauge” refers to the fact that this regulator shows you both the tank and line pressures, handy for keeping tabs on the pressure at both ends.
The Premium Pro Series Dual Gauge Co2 Draft Beer Regulator is made from brass but is chrome plated – you don’t buy a beer regulator for it’s looks, but it’s a nice touch. Build quality is pretty solid and the fitting is tightly sealed with no leaks, which suggests this is a well made piece of kit.
There is a safety valve which releases pressure at 45 PSI to prevent any mishaps. As you’d expect you can adjust the pressure, but you can’t do it buy hand, you’ll need a wrench. Not a major problem if your using a keg where you want the pressure the same, but it can be a bit of a hassle if you are carbonating different kinds of drinks which require different levels.
Overall this is a very good regulator and inexpensive. You can buy more accurate, or more heavy duty models, but in this price range the Premium Pro Series Dual Gauge is one of the best. It might require a bit of fiddling and tweaking to get it to do exactly what you want, but once you’ve got things set up properly you’ll find it to be a solidly built and reliable regulator.
